Ep302 – Breathing Room Roundtable

June 30, 2025

We talked about the decision to stay or to go on Ep69. Ep214 and 217 were both roundtable episodes with people who had separated and divorced. On the flip side, Ep242 and 243 were roundtables featuring people who had decided to stay in their relationships. This episode is a twist on all of those discussions. The Ep302 roundtable tackles the topic of therapeutic temporary separation with the intent of getting back together. In some cases, the time apart helped the relationship, and in other cases, it helped clarify the need to make the separation permanent. For all four of our panelists, the separation helped them make incredible individual progress toward healing.

    I loved this episode.
I did a 2 year separation and we worked really hard to figure it out. The original intention was to DIVORCE!
After a ton of therapy. groups, and a ton of family work we are now together.

What we have to remember is removing the alcohol doesn’t change the person’s personality.

He needed the time and I reallt needed the time.

    We are doing well.

    • So great to hear from you, Dawn! Yes, you’ve certainly lived this, and I’m so glad you’re doing well.
